Essential Information

The original Manila Cathedral was ruined in WWII. What you see now is a reconstruction built in 1951, still looking properly ancient with its rosette windows, stunning stained glass, and weather-beaten Romanesque facade. Step inside to see the gilded altar and the famous 4500-pipe organ. Across the cathedral is Plaza de Roma, which once functioned as a bullring.
