Essential Information

Rizal Park is still widely called by its original name-Luneta-even though it has long been renamed after national hero Jose Rizal, who was executed by the Spaniards in these very same grounds. This 60-hectare recreational area features ornamental gardens, open lawns, wooded areas, paved walks, and a sprinkling of monuments commemorating Philippine history and its heroes. Come by at dawn to see locals practicing t'ai chi and arnis (a local style of martial arts involving stick fighting). Luneta likewise serves as an open-air auditorium.

Tips, Comments and Reviews : Rizal Park

Forgot your camera? Don't worry, there are several photographers who offer their services at Rizal Park. Photo prints are fairly-priced and you can have your copy in about 10 minutes.

You can find the Chinese Garden in Rizal Park, too. It is easily noticeable because of the Chinese architecture at the entrance. If you are facing the Rizal Monument or coming from there, you can easily spot it to your left. The entrance fee is 5 pesos per person.
