Essential Information

Attached to Wat Pha Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), the Grand Palace is one of the most visited attractions in Bangkok. It used to be the formal royal residence, but is now just a tourist attraction. A strict dress code is enforced; visitors are required to wear long skirts or pants, cover their shoulders, and use closed-toed shoes. The main office lends proper attire to erring tourists.
