Tips, Comments and Reviews : Wat Mahathat

Wat Mahathat is home to independent meditation centres, one of which is the International Buddhist Meditation Centre that offers informal meditation classes everyday (7am, 1pm, and 6pm).

To reach Wat Mahathat with ease, get on a boat to Chang Pier. From there, you can walk to the courtyard where you can find the Grand Palace to your right. Turn left and follow Mahathat Road. Often times, you'll find many vendors selling amulets and lucky charms on the street. The entrance to the temple is on your right, 100 yards up that street.
