Bureau de change in Manila?

Will I have a problem finding bureaux de change in Manila? I am staying in a friend's flat in the Ortigas area. I believe the building is called St. Francis Shangri-La. Where can I get the best rates? I plan to change around £1,000. Thanks. - Wills - Guest

Bureau de Change Manila
Exchanging foreign money is never a hassle in Manila. There are moneychangers everywhere, including hotels and shopping malls. St. Francis Towers, where you are staying doesn't have its own currency exchange counter, but it is within the Shangri-La community (within walking distance of Shangri-La Hotel and Plaza) where there are currency exchange facilities. Hotels are not the best places to change your money, but they do offer convenience.

If you want the best rates, ask around for the nearest moneychanger, and avoid facilities that are notorious for low rates like hotels and airports. Check this post out for more tips: http://www.asiahopping.com/insight/philippines/metro_manila/best_exchange_rates_manila.html.
