What's a good honeymoon hotel in Bangkok?

Hello! I'm looking for a reasonable hotel in Bangkok for a honeymoon. We're spending two nights in Bangkok just to see the city and then going off to Phuket. My husband and I are willing to spend around $150 per night, which I suppose would go a long way hotel-wise in Thailand. Any suggestions? Thanks! - Mary T. (Guest)

Bangkok is the perfect kick off point for your honeymoon in Thailand, and there are great places in the city where you can coop up for a romantic experience and still have plenty of time to explore beautiful attractions during the day. Bangkok itself may not be the most romantic city, but some of its most luxurious hotels go out of their way to create the romantic scene you want for your destination wedding and honeymoon.

Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is always first on the list of most romantic hotels in the city. Classified as a premier deluxe business hotel, its resort-style facilities and chic and trendy restaurants make it the ultimate pampering destination, not to mention its fitness spa, which offers all sorts of massage and beauty treatments. Be greeted with a Jasmine garland upon your arrival when you take advantage of Hyatt's romance package, which includes daily breakfast, round trip limousine transfer, set dinner at the Erawan tea room, and other romantic touches.

Shangri-La Bangkok's honeymoon package is also to-die for, putting you in an executive river view suite, which creates the perfect romantic atmosphere. Other perks include complimentary buffet breakfast at the Horizon Club Lounge, complimentary bottle of house wine, afternoon high tea for two at the Lobby Lounge, Horizon Cruise dinner for two, and a 25% discount on traditional Thai massage at CHI The Spa.

With so many accommodation options in Bangkok, you are sure to find a perfect spot for your honeymoon at a reasonable price. You can skip out on large business hotels and opt for boutique hotels instead.

PlayHaus Thonglor is situated in a trendy part of Bangkok, close to an interesting gallery as well as fashionable and upmarket shopping malls and restaurants. Each room in PlayHaus Thonglor depicts famous scenes from musical plays, such as Romeo & Juliet and Aladdin. Guests enjoy a signature welcome drink and find designer toiletries in their private bathrooms. The boutique hotel stays true to its theatrical theme from its exterior right down to the lobby and the lounge and bar.

Hotel Muse stands proudly in the distinguished Langsuan residential area. The opulent boutique hotel provides easy access to Bangkok's busy areas of Silom, Sukhumvit, and Siam. Elegant and contemporary, all rooms are modern and feature bathtubs and signature toiletries. The hotel also boasts a speakeasy rooftop bar, which is an excellent place for drinks as the sky turns dark. There's no need to go out for meals as Hotel Muse has a hotel restaurant, an award-winning Italian restaurant, and a Chicago-style eatery. If you are a fitness-conscious couple, a gym and outdoor pool are on site.
